| CHAKRA TWO: GENITALS: SEX, SENSUALITY,
REPRODUCTION |
 |
|
The genital chakra needs, in
many of us, more recognition, acceptance, attention, love and
even, in some, healing, to receive and enhance the flow of life
force from the spiritual crown chakra, through the visionary
third eye chakra, the expressive throat chakra, the empowering
belly chakra down to the secure base chakra. The articles listed
help lead you to the ecstasy that is yours when you coordinate,
integrate and synergize your genital and other chakras. The
sexual chakra, the gateway to our physical incarnation, is possibly
the most important chakra because all of us currently alive
(with the few exceptions who were Frankensteinian creations,
born in a lab), are here because somebody had an orgasm, and
hopefully, it was two somebodies.
While all chakras are important, this one is the most difficult
for many to deal with and the area where many of us polarize
and pit one part against other parts of ourselves. We may polarize
against our loved ones or come into opposition with our culture
because of the controversy surrounding sexuality. Few remain
neutral. Most either embrace sexuality or deny it. Some vacillate
between loving it and hating it at various times within ones
own lifetime.
Sex is a universal concern and is especially influential in
our American culture which is often so sexually conservative
where even looking at genitals is deemed to be shameful, the
genitals can be a major storehouse of negative imprints. As
a consequence the genitals often function at a reduced level
of sensitivity, capacity for pleasure and ability to experience
the full range of orgasmic release.
This chakra reflects concern with basic interpersonal relationships
that are generated by sexual interactions. Tension and conflict
may be accompanied by diseased sexual and interpersonal activity.
Health and vitality in this area reflect healthy sexual functioning
and relating.
VOICES: These voices deal with our attitudes surrounding
sexuality, sexy or conservative such as Inner Monk or Pope vs
